MESSAGE FROM ANEETA

Hello,

I have great pleasure in introducing an addition to our resources - Zodiac's Children is a new column by Skye Thomas. In Skye's words: It's a parenting series... but it touches a lot of people deeply because they remember themselves as children and agree.

Skye's first piece is entitled 'Pisces's Child' and the link to the online version's listed below.

The winner of a copy of Bill Blake's Brain Stuffing is Gail Joslin. Gail, please contact Bill at bill@blakepublishing.com to receive a copy of this ebook.

The book offered for the current contest is a copy of D. Devika Bai's debut novel, The Flight of The Swans.

Click here to enter this contest.

I have received many comments from subscribers telling me they like this layout of the newsletter better. Thank you. Indeed, the new system has eased much of my administrative problems in maintaining a list. An added benefit is that subscribers are able to change their subscription details without having to contact me. Also, I get to add pictures, to this newsletter which I could not before. If you have any more comments or suggestions as to how to improve the newsletter, please let me know.

As a result of the interview I conducted with Noel Gama, I'm inspired me to revive my blog. I'm not good at sustaining something that requires input on a regular basis; therefore, I welcome any form of encouragement to keep this blog going!

As always, there's much to read from new stories in StoryAsia, Infosynthesis, the new column, more resources for storytellers and also new announcements.

I hope you enjoy the information shared.

Here's to your storytelling success.

Family Photo

In 1979, my family posed for a photograph which was taken by Mr. Chia. Being the official photographer for the Kedah Sultan and his family, Mr. Chia had very little spare time and, therefore, this session was very precious to my mother.

Jack's Fables

Is it me or is it my imagination?

The umbrella was watching the changing sky anxiously. Greyer and greyer by the minute. The usual ritual of being grabbed by the neck, carried out at great speed and unfurled in a windy, murky, wet and miserable street was imminent.

Storytellers Nuts and Bolts

© Kristy Taylor 2007

Many writers get their apostrophe placement incorrect, or simply confuse some words with others. In an effort to ensure their writing is acceptable, writers have a tendency to either overuse or under use the apostrophe.

BLOW YOUR OWN TRUMPET!

Medium - interview with Robert Schwartz

Excerpts ...

Robert: It was my dissatisfaction with my life that brought me to the medium. Once there, I was introduced to the concept of spirit guides. Not only was I introduced to the concept, I was introduced to my guides themselves. Through the medium, I was able to speak with them. They knew everything about me – everything I had done, said, and thought.

Writer of the Year - interview with Noël Gama

Excerpts ...

Noël: ... Damão was a Portuguese colony for 400 years. It became part of India as recently as 1961. Hence, it is not surprising that there is a strong Portuguese influence in our music, songs, folk dance, cuisine, sports, dress and most importantly, temperament!

ZODIAC'S CHILDREN

Pisces’ Child

Excerpts ...

In general, Pisces is misunderstood and ends up as a loner.  They love people and have a deep desire to connect on a spiritual soul-to-soul level, but they end up protecting themselves behind walls for their own safety.

Vashtu Sastra Guide by T. Selva

Excerpts ...

Vasthu Sastra Guide is a non-fiction piece of work. In the author’s own words:

Although the awareness of Vasthu Sastra is increasing daily worldwide, I found that many people lacked understanding of the effective application of Vasthu Sastra rules on their properties. This prompted me to write this book to enhance the understanding of Vasthu Sastra.
